In 2023, GTS introduced equipment based on natural refrigerants, which helped mitigate the equivalent of 7,000,000 metric tons of CO2e (calculated using a 20-year GWP). To illustrate the scale of this achievement, imagine that 1 metric ton of CO2e corresponds to an 8-meter-high cube.
But how can we visualize 7,000,000 metric tons of CO2e? If these emissions were represented in a single cube, it would reach a height of 1,550 meters, nearly twice the height of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, which stands at 828 meters in Dubai.

GTS was among the companies to receive this prestigious quality certification.

The certification process targets manufacturers of systems and components that use natural refrigerants, as well as installers and contractors. It thoroughly examines aspects such as corporate vision, customer satisfaction, the impact of proposed solutions, and commitment to training.
In 2023, GTS made a significant contribution to the global reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by introducing hydrocarbons to the market, which mitigated 3,400,000 tons of CO2 equivalent, based on a 100-year Global Warming Potential (GWP). This achievement is equivalent to the annual energy consumption of approximately 434,000 homes or removing 757 vehicles from the road. Using a 20-year GWP, the impact is even greater: 7,000,000 tons of CO2 avoided, equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 904,000 homes.
